Obituary of Mary Lou Grosser

Mary Lou Grosser, age 104 of Mount Pleasant PA, died peacefully Saturday, June 11, 2022 at the Amber House Personal Care Home in Mount Pleasant. Mrs. Grosser was born on January 5, 1918 in Mount Pleasant, the daughter of the late James and Margaret Mahoney McCort. Mary Lou was a member of St. Pius X R. C. Church and the Catholic Daughters of America. She was a graduate of Hurst High School. Mrs. Grosser enjoyed reading, word search puzzles, and playing 500 bid with her card club. Her passion for playing cards endured at the Amber House, she played 500 rum with her family on most visits. Mary Lou also loved to dance especially with her husband "Fritz". She is survived by her loving daughters Connie Paglio of Mount Pleasant , Susanne Lastik(Joseph) of Greensburg and her beloved grandchildren, Kim Paglio, Kelly Paglio, Jason Lastik and Jennifer Lastik. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mary Lou is preceded in death by her husband of over 57 years, Raymond "Fritz" Grosser, son-in-law Bernard Paglio, brother Daniel "Bud" McCort and sisters Margaret McGoogan, Virginia Bompiani, and Nore Gettemy Doubles. Family and friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home at 10:30 am on Saturday, followed by Mary Lou's funeral mass at 11:00 am in St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be in the St. Pius X.
