Obituary of Jane Ann McGuigan

Jane Ann (Boyer) McGuigan Jane was born August 31, 1944 in Mount Pleasant, PA and died February 11, 2022 at Cedar Ridge Assisted Living in Cedar Park, Tx. Jane had decided after almost a year to stop fighting lung cancer and had gone into hospice care at Cedar Ridge Assisted Living in Cedar Park TX. She and her husband, Jack McGuigan had been married almost 36 years. They had met when Jane, who had never married before, was already 40 years old and had earned her Baccalaureate and Masters degrees at West Virginia University. After their marriage, Jane completed her dissertation and received her PhD in Counseling from the University of Maryland. She had already established herself creatively by her excellence in needlepoint and her career as a case manager for injured long-shoreman. She was able to use her education and experience to evaluate their injuries and arrange for their retraining which would be suitable to their capacities. There will be a memorial gathering in memory of Jane Ann Boyer McGuigan on Saturday, April 30th from 2 until 4 PM at the Galone Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle St., Mount Pleasant, Pa 15666. All those who knew Jane or wish to attend are welcome. This will be an opportunity to share the experiences they had with her. Dress is informal.
