Obituary of Nellie A. Costabile

Nellie Anne Costabile, age 74, of Mt. Pleasant died unexpectedly Tuesday April 5, 2022. She was born March 11, 1948 in Mt. Pleasant to the late Michael and Anne Petrone Costabile. Ms. Costabile was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church in Mt. Pleasant. Nellie attended St. Joseph Elementary School and was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant Area High School. Nellie graduated from Seton Hill University and did her graduate studies at California University of Pennsylvania. Nellie retired in 2005 from Mt. Pleasant Area School District after teaching elementary school for 35 years. Nellie was the last surviving member of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Angelina. Nellie is survived by her best friend, Joni Rozell of Mt. Pleasant; and numerous godchildren, cousins, and friends. As per Nellie's wishes family and friends will be received Thursday from 6 to 8 PM at Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle St. Mt. Pleasant. A prayer service will be held Friday at 10:30 AM in the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. Pius X Parish Cemetery.
