Obituary of Virginia Belzer

Virginia J. Belzer, age 93, of Tarrs, died Saturday February 12, 2022 in Forbes Regional Hospital. Mrs. Belzer was born May 12, 1928 in Mt. Pleasant to the late Robert M. and Jane A. Chapman Myers. Mrs. Belzer was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church and St. Pius Christian Mothers. She was a graduate of East Huntingdon High School and Greensburg Business School. She worked for several years at Sears as a bookkeeper. Virginia is survived by her loving family, her daughter, Debra Geiger (Keith); her daughter-in-law, Mary Belzer; and by her grandsons, Matthew Geiger (Desiree), and Austin Belzer (Heather). In addition to her parents Virginia was preceded in death by her husband James Belzer in 1985; and by her son, Scott Belzer in 2021. Family and friends are invited Wednesday from 3:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle St., Mt. Pleasant. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home Thursday at 10:30 A.M. followed by Virginia's Funeral Mass at 11:00 at St. Pius X R.C. Church. Interment will follow in St. Pius Parish Cemetery.
