Obituary of James R. DiMichele

James Robert DiMichele, age 81, of Mt. Pleasant died unexpectedly on Saturday, February 5, 2022 in the comfort of his home. Jim was born on February 19, 1940 in Mt. Pleasant to James Samuel DiMichele and Lena Concetta Nicolazzo DiMichele. He was a graduate of the former Ramsay High School Class of 1957. He spent his entire career at Glosser Brothers (Gee Bee's), starting out as a stockboy, working his way up to management, to senior buyer, then executive vice-president of the company at the time he retired. Jimmy was a tremendous golfer, winning numerous Rubber Ducky tournaments at the Pleasant Valley Country Club where he was a member for over 30 years. He also was an avid poker player. Jim was a wonderful, kind, mild-mannered man loved by everyone who knew him. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle. He is survived by his two daughters, Pamela Rose and Melissa (Jaime) Smitley; his grandchildren, Ian (Nikki) Rose, Evan Rose, Olivia Rose and Hannah Smitley, Julia Smitley, and Will Smitley; his great-grandaughter Aspyn Rose; his sister, Patricia (Bernardo) Mandri. He is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Jimmy was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Patricia Wisniewski DiMichele, on December 29, 2020. Friends and family will be received on Friday, February 11th at the Galone Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mt. Pleasant, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 12th at 11: 00 a.m. at St. Pius X RC Church, 224 Summit Street, Mt. Pleasant.
