Obituary of David A. Sullenberger

David A. Sullenberger, age 69 of Mt. Pleasant, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, while at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. Mr. Sullenberger was born November 13, 1952 in Phillipsburg, Kansas, the son of the late Harry and Amy Dee Cunnard Sullenberger. He was a longtime member of the Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church in Tarrs and was devoted to worshipping the Lord. Dave was a 1970 graduate of Southmoreland High School. He was a Journeyman Machinist at National Hydraulics in Scottdale. Dave was an avid model car builder and belonged to many model car clubs where he won numerous awards. Dave loved spending time with his wife and daughter and especially cherished being with his beloved granddaughters. He is survived by his loving family: his wife, Dianne Miller Sullenberger, his daughter, Lissa Ladowitz (Daniel) and his beloved granddaughters, Paige and Kayla Ladowitz. Dave is also survived by his sister, Susan D. Howard , his father-in-law, Waide Miller, brother and sister-in-law, Waide Miller Jr. (Susan) and Lynne Gribble and by his niece and nephews, Teri Schanch, Sean Gribble and David Lint. In addition to his parents ,Dave was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, D. Jeanne Miller, brother-in-law, Leslie B. Gribble and by his nephew, Matthew Gribble. Family and friends will be received Saturday from 2 PM until 7 PM, the time of Dave’s Funeral Service at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle St., Mt. Pleasant. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made to any Animal Rescue Organization in Memory of David A. Sullenberger. Dave was a huge dog lover!
