Obituary of Eugene M. Kelly

Eugene M. Kelly, age 67 of Mt. Pleasant, died Saturday January 15, 2022 in Excela Frick Hospital. Mr. Kelly was born July 16, 1954 in Mt. Pleasant, he is the son of Eugene F. Kelly and the late Joanne Minick Kelly. Eugene was employed as a computer engineer for Micro Rental Service. He was active with the Boy Scouts, enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. Eugene was always repairing computers and radios. He also enjoyed playing the accordion and piano, but most of all enjoyed spending time with his family. Eugene is survived by his loving wife, Catherine Gorny Kelly; his sons, Eugene E. Kelly (MaryBeth), and Robert Kelly (Kisa); and his loving grandchildren Nevaeh, Exavior, and Espyn. Eugene is also survived by his siblings, Diane Polczynski (William), David Kelly (Terry), Paul Kelly (Sharon), and Lori Kelly; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received Friday from 2 to 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle St. Mt. Pleasant. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Saturday in the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Visitation Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial donations be made in Eugene's name to the Mt. Pleasant Cat Committee.
