Obituary of Mary F. Ruszkowski

Mary Frances “Fran” Ruszkowski, age 95 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Sunday, (12/5/2021) in the UPMC-Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. Mrs. Ruszkowski was born August 11, 1926 in Jeannette, PA, the daughter of the late John and Sophie Jarzenbowski Golnoski. She was a member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church and the former Transfiguration Parish and it’s Holy Rosary Society and the Polish Roman Catholic Union. Fran was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She was a kind and gentle lady who always had a smile for everyone whose paths she crossed. Fran is survived by her loving family: her son, Michael (Susan) Ruszkowski of Mt. Pleasant, her daughter, Jacquelyn (Scott) Turek of Hoover, AL and by her daughter in law, Carol Ruszkowski of Jamestown, NY. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren; Laura Ann (Jeff) Vensak, Michael (Marcia) Ruszkowski, Brian (Brittany) Ruszkowski, Alexis Turek and Christopher Turek and by her great grandchildren, Kyle, Paige, Nicholas, Isabella, and Lucas. In addition to her parents, Fran was preceded in death by her husband, John Ruszkowski in 2002, her son Richard Ruszkowski in 2019, her brother Harry Golnoski and by her sisters, Bertha Benson and Sarah Kopczynski. Family and friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 pm at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held Monday at 10:30 AM at the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary RC Church, Mount Pleasant.
