Obituary of Evalyn A. Reid

Evalyn A. (Barnhart) Reid, age 74 of Mount Pleasant PA, died Thursday (10/21/2021) at Excela Health- Westmoreland Regional Hospital Greensburg, PA. Mrs. Reid was born November 10, 1946 in Washington, PA, the daughter of the late Charles Barnhart, Sr., and Janice Thomas Barnhart. Evalyn was a 1965 graduate of the former Ramsay High School. She had been employed as a Floor Associate for Walmart. She will be fondly remembered for her passion and love of her family pets. She is survived by her loving family: her devoted husband: Kerry L. Reid. Her children: William (Kathy) Ansell of Scottdale, Janice Adriane Ansell and John Hega of Stockdale. Her step children: Kristin (Dennis) Miller of Connellsville, Rachel (Timothy) Szolek of Scottdale. Her brother: Charles (Connie) Barnhart, Jr. of Mt. Pleasant. Her granddaughter: Kacey Ansell. Her step grandchildren: Andrew Henderson, Alyssa Basinger (Joshua), , Haley Geyer (Matthew), Jacob Miller, Zachary Miller, Ryan Szolek, Kylee Szolek, Andre Szolek, Jackson Szolek, Chad (Tina) Gower, Melissa Swank, and numerous great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Evalyn was preceded in death by her sister Norma Barnhart Sestock in 1991. Family and friends will be received Monday from 4 to 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home, with the Rev. Henry Scoff, officiating. Interment will be in the Greenlick Cemetery, Bullskin township.
