Obituary of Eugena Sue Gordon

Eugena Sue (Deanie) Gordon, 67, of Mt. Pleasant, PA earned her wings on September 12, 2021 after a valiant battle with Cancer. Deanie was born on April 30, 1954 in Fayette County, PA, a daughter of Ronald L. Mitts (whom she fondly referred to as “Daddy-o") and the late Doris Butler Mitts of Mt. Pleasant. She was a 1972 graduate of Northshore High School in West Palm Beach, FL. Deanie loved her pets, the ocean, flowers, gardening and spending time with family. “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of one of His saints” (Psalm 116:15). Deanie will be greatly missed but lovingly remembered for her faith in God, her love of family, her kind and giving heart, her independent spirit and her wonderful sense of humor. In addition to her father, she is survived by sisters, Deborah Shepherd of Scottdale, Diana Harrell (Les) of Wellington, FL and Rhonda Mitts of Quincy, FL, as well as her beloved nieces and nephews and numerous aunts and cousins. A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Suncrest Hospice for their compassionate and meticulous care of their loved one during her illness.
