Obituary of Bernard J. Paglio

Bernard J. Paglio , age 73 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Friday, March 3, 2017 in the Excela Health- Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant, PA. Mr. Paglio was born February 17, 1944 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the son of the late Antonio and Margaret Costabile Paglio. He was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church. Bernie was a 1961 graduate of the former Ramsay High School. He had served in the PA National Guard. Bernie had been employed at Latrobe Steel for more than 35 years. He was a life member of the Mt Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department, serving for many years as Secretary and Truck Driver. Bernie coached Midget football, the Packers "The Pack" for over 10 years. He was an avid bowler who started the "over the hill gang" at Pleasant Lanes Bowling Alley. His favorite times were spent camping with his family. Bernie always said, " It's nice to be nice". He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Bernie is survived by his loving family: his wife of 50 years, Constance "Connie" Grosser Paglio, his beloved daughters; Kimberly A. Paglio, and Kelly L. Paglio, both of Mt. Pleasant. He is also survived by his mother in law Mary Lou Grosser, and by his brother and sisters in law; Susanne Lastik and Joseph, Connie L. Paglio. His niece and nephews; Jennifer Lastik, Jason Lastik and Joseph Paglio, Jr., and by his beloved pets and companions, Bear, Crosby, Bernie, and JJ. In addition to his parents, Bernie was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph A. Paglio in 2010. Family and friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held Tuesday at 9:30 AM in the funeral home, followed by Bernie's Funeral Mass at 10 AM in St. Pius X RC Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Pius X Parish Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant. A parish wake service will be held in the funeral home Monday at 3 PM and the Mt.
