Obituary of Holly Sundin

Holly (Shumar) Sundin, age 51 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died unexpectedly Saturday (3/28/2020) in the Excela-Health Latrobe Hospital, Latrobe, PA. Mrs. Sundin was born December 20, 1968 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the daughter of Renee May Shumar of Mt. Pleasant and the late Kenneth Shumar. Holly was employed by Connellsville Counseling since 2011 as the Quality Assurance Coordinator. During that time, she was instrumental in helping to achieve national accreditation with the Council on Accreditation. She also oversaw the quality of documentation and service provided to their clients. In addition to being an invaluable employee, she was also one of the most courageous, kind and loving persons any of us will ever know. Holly became a quadriplegic in 1992. Despite her accident, she was able to complete her Master’s Degree in psychology. Holly is survived by her loving family: her husband, Ronald Sundin and their son Cole and by her very special mother, Renee May Shumar. Being mindful of the current medical guidelines, visitation and service will be private for Holly’s family.
