Obituary of Joseph C. Belzer

Joseph C. Belzer, age 72 of Lincoln City Ore., formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died Sunday (8/5/2019).

Mr. Belzer was born June 29, 1947 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the son of Joseph and Philamae Marne Belzer.  After graduating Ramay High School in 1965, he served in the United States Navy from 1966 to 1969. Joseph had a certification in computer sciences, haz mat, engineering technology, nuclear gauge safety and ACI concrete testing. He lived and worked construction in Houston, Texas, Indianapolis, Indiana, and Washington DC. In 2013, he retired to Lincoln City, Oregon where he loved gardening, wood crafting and photography.

He is survived by his loving family: his sister Virginia (Richard) Stefanick of Bethel Park, PA and his nieces Cassandra Day, BJ, and Mia of Holly Springs, NC and Karin Mottey, Alexis and Savannah of Pittsburgh, PA.

Family and friends will be received Saturday Sept. 21, from 1:30 until 2:30 the time of his memorial service at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev.
