Obituary of Edward J. Sossa

 Edward J. Sossa, age 72 of Ruffs Dale, PA, died Monday (04/23/2018) at his home. Mr. Sossa was born Nov.5, 1945 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the son of the late John and Catherine Machupa Sossa. He was a member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church. Ed was proud U.S. Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War. He was a self-employed farmer. Ed enjoyed trap shooting at RuffsDale, Herminie, East Huntingdon Connellsville and Youngwood Sportsman's clubs. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle. Ed is survived by his loving family: his wife of 44 years, Margaret "Margie" Kulha Sossa and by his sister, Carolyn Myslewski of Kecksburg. He is also survived by his sisters in law; Elizabeth Teaters and Tom and Monica Pawlikowski and Edward, his nieces and nephews; Susan Myslewski, Christina Teaters, Laura Covalesky and Dan, Ryan and Nicholas Pawlikowski, and by his great nephew, Danny Covalesky. In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Sossa, and his brother in law; Philip Kulha.  Family and friends will be received Thursday from 3 until 7 p.m. at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held Friday at 9:30 AM in the funeral home, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary RC Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Entombment will be in the Middle Presbyterian Cemetery, Mount Pleasant Township.
