Obituary of Dorothy Mayes Armstrong

 Dorothy Mayes Armstrong, age 90 of RuffsDale, PA, died Friday (12/22/17) in Excela Health- Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant, PA.

Mrs. Armstrong was born December 12, 1927 in Acme, PA, the daughter of the late David and Nellie Bungard Wilkins. Dorothy enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends, but most of all loved spending time them. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her loving family: her son, Robert Dean Mayes and his wife Pamela Lynn of Mt. Pleasant, her daughter, Lois Lubeck and her husband Jeffery of East Point, MI, her beloved grandchildren; Robert Dean Mayes, Jr., Mellissa Gamble (Andy), Brandon D'Alessandro (Jessica) and Danielle Kreiselmeier (Michael), and by her great grandchildren; Bryce, Dante, Dominic, Memphis, and Austin. Dorothy is also survived by her brothers and sister; Allen Wilkins and Lee Wilkins both of Mt. Pleasant, and Roy Wilkins of MD and Hazel Brown of FL. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her first husband, Verl Dean Mayes in 1997, her brother Wayne Wilkins and by her sisters, Mildred, Emma Jean, Mildred and Evelyn.

Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 4 until 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Ellson officiating.
