Donna attended Mudd School, and graduated from Ramsay High School in 1946. She attended the HC Frick Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Mt. Special friends and coworkers Garnet Shaffer, Patsy Sofranko, and Gertrude Yesho were also very dear to her.
Donna was very proud of being a nurse and loved her work as an RN, serving her entire career at Frick Hospital. She retired in 1989. She loved to cook and bake and entertain, and was well-known for her generosity. Holiday cookie platters were distributed to friends, family, and neighbors without fail. She also loved planting flowers and tending to the landscaping at her home. Donna had a great sense of humor which she never lost, and a way of telling stories that left everyone collapsing in laughter. She will be greatly missed.
We are especially grateful to the staff at Harmon House and Amber House and Amedysis Hospice for their constant loving care.
