Obituary of Florence (Soforic) Britt

 Florence J. (Soforic) Britt, age 80 of Tarrs, PA, died Tuesday, September 12, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Britt was born August 3, 1937 in East Huntingdon Township, PA, the daughter of the late James and Mary Centofanto Soforic. She was a member of the Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church.

Florence was a graduate of the former East Huntingdon High School. She had been employed for many years at the former Howard Johnson's Restaurant in New Stanton.

Florence was very devoted to her late husband, John and especially enjoyed caring for her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Jacqueline Cunningham and her husband William of Scottdale, her beloved grandchildren, Shelley Toland and Matthew, William Cunningham, Jr. and Sara, and Duncan Cunningham and Emily, and by her great grandchildren, Dominic, Logan, Jocelyn and Katera. In addition to her parents, Florence was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Britt on April 1, 2017, and by her sister, Mary Gater.

Honoring Florence's wishes, there will be no hours of public visitation. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
