Obituary of Dennis Allen Hurst

 Dennis Allen Hurst, age 65 of Mt. Pleasant, PA died Friday, September 1, 2017 at the Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg, PA.

Mr. Hurst was born October 1, 1951 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the son of the late Thomas and Margaret Ultz Hurst.  He was a member of the Word of Life Ministries of Greensburg.  Dennis was a 1971 graduate of Southmoreland High School.

He was employed by Quality Service Co. for UPS, and he also worked at the Hempfield Hunt Club.   Dennis enjoyed watching football, but playing Dart ball with his son Jason was his favorite pastime.

He is survived by his loving family: his  wife of 30 years, Sharon Harris and  his son, Jason Allen Hurst. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters; William Hurst of New Stanton, Willis Hurst of Connellsville, Rebecca Ketchell of  Gibsonia, Ruth Bedard  of Howell, Michigan, Lois Bowers, and Virginia Barrick, both of Mt. Pleasant and Lucille Busch of Mammoth. In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his infant sister, Linda Hurst.
