Obituary of Harold Blair Murphy
Harold Blair Murphy, 75, of New Kensington died Thursday May 7, 2026 at Allegheny Valley Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Harold was preceded in death by his father Harold (Poppy) Murphy and mother Pauline Murphy; his sisters, Geraldine (Jenny) Murphy and Colleen Visconti and brother-in-law, Randy Brown.
He is survived by his daughters Eleasah Murphy Dolan and Rebekah Murphy; his son-in-law, William D. Dolan; his sisters, Christine Brown, and Carolyn Benga; his grandchildren, Blair Marie Bienia, Roman Zanotelli, and Nico Zanotelli; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Harold prouldy served his country in the United States Army 82nd Airborne Division, from August 29, 1969 to July 19, 1974. During his service he received the National Defense Medal, Parachute Bage, and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medals. He had retired after many years with the Pittsburgh Education System working with children with disabilities. He was an ordained minister and actively preached the love of Christ as a member of Road Riders for Jesus, a motorcycle organization. Harold loved the Lord above all else. His daughters and grandchildren were the pride of his life and devoted his time to them always.
Harold was passionate and dedicated to enjoying life, spending his free time riding motorcycles, officiating weddings and funerals, hunting, and reminiscing about memories with family and friends. He spoke about his daughters childhood memories as their softball coach and their successes as often as he could. His kindness knew no bounds and had contagious joy and laughter. His love and kindness will always be cherished by those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Family and friends will be received on Monday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. until the hour of his Funeral Service at 3:30 p.m. at Galone-Caruso Funeral Home Inc., 204 Eage St., Mt. Pleasant.
