Obituary of Barbara Joan Dininger

 

Barbara Joan Dininger, 94, of New Stanton died Tuesday April 28, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.  Joan was born February 26, 1932 in Mifflin, OH to the late Wilber and Elsie Griffith Harry.

Joan attended the Grace Community Church of Alverton and worked in the cafeteria in the Hempfield School District.  She enjoyed bowling, her numerous card clubs, and going to her camp in Slippery Rock with her family.  

Joan is survived by her loving family, her daughters, Debra Todd (Paul), Pamela Dininger, Brenda Harbaugh (Frank), and Patricia Vanyo (Andy); her grandchildren, Keith Todd (Jen), Brandon Todd (Jamie), Bridgett Winters, Brooke Jacobsen (Adam), Michael Vanyo, Megan Vanyo (Steve), and Maria Vanyo; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her siblings, Nancy Delong, Sue Kurtz, and Louie Harry; and by numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne K. Dininger in 1991; and her siblings, Jean Day, Norma Britt, William Harry, and by an infant brother.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Galone-Caruso Funeral Home Inc., Mt. Pleasant.  A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home on Monday 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
