Obituary of Kenneth R. Swank Sr.

Kenneth R. Swank Sr., 71, of Mt. Pleasant died Sunday March 1, 2026 at Independence Frick Hospital.  Mr. Swank was born August 11, 1954 in Mt. Pleasant to the late Amos and Florence Green Swank.

He was a graduate of Southmoreland High School class of 1972.  He was a member of the Bridgeport United Methodist Church and worked at Scottdale Woodcore for over 30 years.  He was a member of the VFW Post 3368 of Mt. Pleasant and he enjoyed taking care of his dog, Jake.

Ken is survived by his loving family, his wife of 52 years, Judy L. Black Swank; his children, Kenneth R. Swank Jr. (Lori), Kelly Swank, and Scott Swank (Hannah); his granddaughter, Abigail Swank; his sister-in-law Kathy Eustey (Dan); two brothers-in-law, and two sisters-in-law; and by numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his sisters, Linda S. Rozycki and Shirley J. Swank.
