Obituary of Daniel R. Pfeifer

Daniel R. Pfeifer, 67, of Mt. Pleasant, died Saturday, January 31, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 4, 1958 in Mt. Pleasant, to the late Robert and Patricia Caruso Pfeifer.

He was a 1976 graduate of the Mt. Peasant Area High School and received his Diesel Certification from Westmoreland County Community College.  Dan had worked for the former Oppman Auto Parts Store for many years and most recently retiring from PennDOT as a diesel mechanic.  Dan enjoyed restoring old cars, especially Mopar muscle cars. He was a family man who treasured spending time with his granddaughter, Madelyn.  Dan will always be remembered for his infectious smile.

Dan is survived by his loving family, his wife of 43 years Debra Bailey Pfeifer; his son Daniel D. Pfeifer (Laura); his granddaughter, Madelyn; his sister, Jane Anne Yaworski (Arian); his nephew, Nicholas Yaworski; and by numerous extended family.  

Family and friends will be received on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the hour of his Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. at GALONE-CARUSO FUNERAL HOME, INC, 204 Eagle St. Mt. Pleasant. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to be made to a charity of one’s choice, in memory of Daniel R.
