Obituary of Dolores A. Barnhart

Dolores Barnhart, 90, of Mt. Pleasant died Saturday January 24, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.  Mrs. Barnhart was born April 14,1935 in New Salem to the late Joseph and Helen Proshock Novotny.  

Dolores was a graduate of Uniontown High School class of 1953.  She was a member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church in Mt. Pleasant.  She enjoyed gardening and canning, baking the best bread, and dancing to a good polka.  Dolores was very loyal to her family and they always came first.

Dolores is survived by her loving family, her daughter, Annette Barnhart Quiles (Joe); her sister-in-law, Joan Novotny; and by her nephew and niece, Joseph Novotny (Nadia) and Jackie Novotny-Salera (Dave).  In addition to her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur J. Barnhart in 2016; and her brother, Joseph Novotny in 2020.  

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass for Dolores on Monday at 12:00 p.m. at Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church.  Entombment will follow in Middle Presbyterian Cemetery, Mt.
