Obituary of Josephine L. Graft

Josephine L. Graft, 92, of Mt. Pleasant died Tuesday January 6, 2026 at Harmon House Health & Rehab Center.  Mrs. Graft was born February 25, 1933 in Mt. Pleasant to the late Joseph and Pauline Ovitsky Kaczmarek.

Josephine was a graduate of East Huntingdon High School class of 1950.  She was a member of St. Edward Parish in Herminie and their church choir.  She worked at the former Brown’s Candy Kitchen in Mt. Pleasant for many years.  Josephine enjoyed baking, singing, and spending time with her family.

Josephine is survived by her loving family, her children, Janice Graft, and Tim Graft (Susan); her daughter-in-law, Vicki Hutterer; her sister, Loretta Keefer; her grandchildren, Matthew, Amy, Corey, Jonathan, Jason, Ian and Cassidy; her great-grandchildren, Riley, Mason, Gracie, and Beau; and by numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Graft; her son, Thad Graft; and by her brother, Bill Kaczmarek.

Due to the upcoming weather, the family has decided to reschedule services for a future date.  A private Funeral Service will be held for her family.  Inurnment will be in the Irwin Union Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital in memory of Josephine Graft.  To leave an online condolence, please visit our website at www.galone-carusofuneralhome.com
