Obituary of Eva Jean Conty

Eva Jean “Jeannie” Conty, 81 of Connellsville died Saturday December 13, 2025 at Greene Health & Rehab Center.  Jeannie was born on October 18, 1944 in Everson to the late John and Etta Blackburn Farrah. 

Jeannie was a graduate of Scottdale High School class of 1962.  She worked at L.E. Smith Glass in Mt. Pleasant for many years and as a cashier at the Mt. Pleasant Walmart.  She was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church and was active in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel.  Jeannie enjoyed telling a good joke and was always trying to make people laugh.

Jeannie is survived by her loving family, her children, Ann Moats, and Joseph L. Conty Jr.; her grandchildren, Cassie Moats, Vanessa Moats, and Zachary Moats; her sisters, Maryann, Patty, Judy, Ruthie, and Susie Farrah; her brother-in-law, Ron Conty (Jane); her sister-in-law, Romaine Janicki; and by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.  In addition to her parents, Jeannie was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph L Conty Sr.; and by her brother and sister-in-law, Daniel Farrah (Janet); her niece, Erin Keedy; and by her brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Philip Conty (Irene), Mary Catherine Camptella (Jim), John Conty, Ted Janicki, and Betty Conty.
