Obituary of John D. Lehman
John D. Lehman, 81, of Scottdale passed away Saturday December 13, 2025 at his home after fighting a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. John was born August 6, 1944 in Mt. Pleasant, the son of George K. Lehman Sr. and Ludmila Pospisil Lehman.
John grew up in Mt. Pleasant and graduated from East Huntingdon High School class of 1963. He served in the United States Army, stationed in Germany, from 1965 to 1967. After returning from the military, John worked at Permali Inc. (C-K Composities) for 40 years and retired in 2007.
John is survived by his loving family, his wife of 56 years, Roberta (Bobbie) Clausner Lehman; his son, John R. Lehman (Gina) of Wexford; his siblings, Rita Brier, Carole Klocek, Mark Lehman (Phyllis), Thomas Lehman (Carol, Mary Lehman Koziar (Bruce), Mildred Blasko (Michael), and Michael Lehman (Catherine), and along with many nieces and nephews. John is also survived by his sister-in-law, Cathy Sikora (Richard); niece and nephew, Stacie Smith (Michael), and Richard Sikora (Elise) and especially his great-niece and nephews, Mackenzie, Gunnar, and Colten Smith who he spent a lot of time with while they were growing up; and his adopted dog, Riley, who really belonged to his neighbor Don Pospisil but he was John’s buddy. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother, George K. Lehman Jr.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Galone-Caruso Funeral Home Inc., Mt. Pleasant. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Tomas Avila, officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post 446 of Mt. Pleasant. The family would like to send a special thank you to Fr. Tomas Avila, his doctors, Ranji Madaan, Stephanie Rubino, and John Morcos, and Excela Hospice nurse, DaryAnn for their compassionate care. John will be sadly missed but never forgotten.
