Obituary of Richard V. Pazer Sr.
Richard V. Pazer Sr., 63, of Greensburg passed away Friday December 5, 2025 at UPMC East Hospital in Monroeville. Mr. Pazer was born August 12, 1962 in Mt. Pleasant to Janet Brush Pazer and the late Richard V. Pazer.
Rich was a graduate of Southmoreland High School class of 1980. He was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church. He worked as a Masonry Restoration Specialist for Allegheny Restoration. Rich was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle, who was always there for his family. He had a big heart and would do anything for the ones he loved.
In addition to his mother, Rich is survived by his loving family, his wife, Tammy Hornsby Pazer; his children, Chesley Heagy (Dylan) and Richard V. Pazer Jr. (Cara); his grandchildren, Kaia, George, Mary, Morgan, and Willa; his brother, David C. Pazer (Terri); his nephew, David Christner (Jeannie), and by his great-niece and nephew, Alexandrea and Colton Christner. Rich is also survived by his aunts, Bonnie Brant, Karen Dalicandro (Tony), and Lori Miller (Brian); his mother-in-law, Wanda Hornsby; his brother-in-law, Preston Hornsby (Michelle); and by his niece, Margaret Hornsby. In addition to his father, Rich was preceded in death by his sister, Jacqueline Pazer Christner in 2023.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Galone-Caruso Funeral Home Inc., Mt. Pleasant, where a Blessing Service will be held on Friday at 9:30 followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Paul A. Lisik, officiating. A private interment will follow in St. Joseph Parish Cemetery, Everson. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to be made to the Westmoreland County Food Bank, in memory of Richard V.
