Obituary of Jack Beal Armstrong

 

Jack B. Armstrong, 76, of Scottdale died Sunday November 30, 2025 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.  Mr. Armstrong was born January 30, 1949 in Mt. Pleasant to the late Lester “Lucky” and Elsie Beal Armstrong.

Jack was a graduate of Southmoreland High School class of 1967.  He proudly served his country in the United States Navy.  He worked as an Electronics Technician and Salesman for several companies in the area.  Jack was a member of the OMNI Masonic Lodge in Dravosburg and was a member of the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction of the Scottish Rite as a 32nd Degree Mason.  Jack also enjoyed spending time riding on his Harley, especially taking trips with his wife Connie.

Jack is survived by his loving family, his wife of 57 years, Connie J. Rapp Armstrong; his brother, Mark Armstrong (Kathy); and by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.  In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his infant son, Adam J. Armstrong; his sister, Dana Rae Armstrong; and by his nephew, Zachary Taylor.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Galone-Caruso Funeral Home Inc., Mt. Pleasant, where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Thomas Shirer, officiating.  Interment will follow in St. John Union Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Twp.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations to be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or The American Lung Association in memory of Jack Armstrong.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital & VA Healthcare for their wonderful care for Jack over the last several years.  To offer an online condolence, please visit our website at www.galone-carusofuneralhome.com
