Obituary of Charles A. Weisel

Charles A. “Chuck” Weisel, 84, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Thursday October 2, 2025 at Independence Health Frick Hospital.  Mr. Weisel was born July 16, 1941 in Mt. Pleasant to the late Harry A. and Anna M. Cable Weisel. 

Chuck was a graduate of Scottdale High School class of 1959 and played drums in the school marching band.  Chuck was a member of Wesley Chapel Church in Scottdale.  He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.  He worked on the railroad for most of his life.  Chuck enjoyed watching the Steelers, hunting, fishing, and going out to eat at Eat’n Park and Valley Dairy. 

Chuck is survived by his loving family, his wife of 20 years, Linda Nedrow Weisel; his son, Dennis Weisel (Michelle); his step-children, Sharon Weis (Philip), Jerry Hamric, Rodger Hamric, and Jeff Hamric (Maria); his grandchildren, Stephanie, Philip (Marina), Chiara, Therese, Cameron, Kaelan, Mackenzie, and Jewel; and his sisters, Shirley and Virginia.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of his Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Thomas Shirer, officiating at Galone-Caruso Funeral Home Inc., Mt. Pleasant.  A private interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown.  Military Honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post 446 of Mt. Pleasant.
