Obituary of Dorothy J. Taylor

Dorothy J. (Kaminski) Taylor, 92, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Saturday September 20, 2025 at Easy Living Country Estates.  Mrs. Taylor was born January 9, 1933 in Mt. Pleasant to the late John and Julia Opiela Kaminsky.

Dorothy was a graduate of Hurst High School class of 1950.  She was a member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, Visitation Christian Mothers, and The Catholic Daughters of America.  Dorothy worked as an administrative assistant at various companies, most recently at CK Composites.  Dorothy enjoyed baking, sewing, reading, and especially the occasional trip to the casino with Marlene and Bob Cibulas. 

Dorothy is survived by her loving family, her sister, Margaret Gutierrez; and by numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Taylor in 1985; and by her siblings, John Kaminsky (Yulada), Thomas Kaminsky (Kayte), Viola Kaminsky, Helen Kaminsky, Stanley “Stush” Kaminsky (Dolores), Mary Urbanowski (Dick) and Julie King (Ray). 

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Galone-Caruso Funeral Home Inc., Mt. Pleasant, where a blessing service will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church.  Interment will follow in Visitation Parish Cemetery.  Dorothy’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff of Easy Living Country Estates and Bridge’s Hospice for their wonderful care of Dorothy.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to be made to Visitation R.C.
