Obituary of Lauren D. Smith

Lauren D. Smith, 37, of Jeannette, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, lost her battle with addiction on Sunday July 6, 2025.  Lauren was born November 20, 1987 in Mt. Pleasant to Larry and Debbie Biller Hribal.

Lauren was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant Area High School class of 2006.  She received her BSN from Penn State Fayette Campus and worked as a Registered Nurse for Excela Health, Excela Home Health & Hospice, and Harmon House Care Center.  Lauren enjoyed spending time with her friends, her family, and especially her children.

In addition to her parents, Lauren is survived by her husband, Gabriel A. Smith Sr.; her children, Gabriel A. Smith Jr. and Aurielle Smith; her brother, Adam Hribal (Hillary); and her nephews, Lucas and Connor Hribal.  She is also survived by her aunts, Brenda Koontz (Chris), and Connie Biller; and by numerous cousins and friends.  Lauren was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Donald and Mary Louise Biller; her paternal grandparents, Ed and Josephine Hribal; and by her uncles, Donnie Biller and Ken Hribal.
