Obituary of Arthur R. Coppula

Arthur R. "Artie" Coppula, 83, of Mt. Pleasant died Friday June 20, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Coppula was born February 24, 1942 in Mt. Pleasant to the late Arthur and Florence Meisner Coppula.

Artie was a graduate of Ramsay High School class of 1959 and was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked as a Maintenance Engineer with PPG Industries for over 30 years. Artie was an avid outdoorsman, who loved hunting and fishing. He had a wonderful sense of humor and even with everything he had been through, he always had a smile on his face.

Artie is survived by his loving family, his wife of 55 years, Lillian M. Splendore Coppula; sister, Lori Coppula of North Canton, OH; brothers-in-law, Anthony Splendore (Ranae), and William Splendore (Margie); sister-in-law, Maria Splendore Harvan (Scott); his faithful pets, Daisy and Garfunkel; and by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 & 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Galone-Caruso Funeral Home Inc., Mt. Pleasant. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church (the family asks for everyone to please meet at church). A private entombment will be held in Middle Presbyterian Cemetery with military honors accorded by the American Legion Post 446 of Mt. Pleasant. In lieu of flowers, the family would suggest donations to be made to a local animal shelter in loving memory of Artie Coppula.
