Obituary of Carole A. Shea

Carole Ann Shea, 80, of Mt. Pleasant, died Monday June 2, 2025 at TLC Adult Care Center, West Newton.  Ms. Shea was born November 27, 1944 in Mt. Pleasant to the late Stanley S. and Margaret Pochatko Shea.

Carol was a 1962 graduate of Mount Pleasant Joint Senior High School, and a life-long resident of Standard Shaft/Mt. Pleasant.  During her career, she was employed at Westinghouse Electric, as well as others.  Her great sense of humor and quick wit kept everyone she met laughing and smiling. She had many friends who she loved and cherished. Her cats were a constant source of happiness. Carole will be missed dearly by her friends and family. 

She is survived by her brother Robert Shea (Josephine); and nieces and nephews: Christine McCallum (Brad, grandnephews: Joshua and Ben McCallum), Mary Jo Shea Harroff, Jerry Shea (Debbie; grandnieces: Abby Haas and Megan Shea) and Michael Shea (grandniece/nephews: Calliegh, Zach and Colin Shea). We are grateful for those who cared and prayed with her throughout her journey. She was a strong woman of faith and had a great devotion to Mother Mary.

Family and friends will be received on Monday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Galone-Caruso Funeral Home Inc., Mt. Pleasant.  A Blessing Service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Transfiguration Parish Cemetery.  James 4:14 reads: "For what is your life?
