Obituary of George R. Cotton

George R. Cotton, 83, of Mt. Pleasant died Monday May 19, 2025 in Mt. View Memory Care in Greensburg.  Mr. Cotton was born July 21, 1941 in Sharon, PA to the late Theodore and Sarah Hollander Cotton.

George proudly served his country in the United States Army.  He worked at Volkswagen and retired from Valley Community Services.  George was a hard worker, who could be often found helping anyone he could.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and mowing grass.

George is survived by his loving family, his wife of 57 years Rosalee Monroe Cotton; his children, Eric Cotton (Shannon), and Elizabeth Cotton (Rex); his grandchildren, Alexis and Jocelyn Cotton, and Haleigh Reed; and by his great-grandchildren, Sophia and Arthur.  In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his brother, Floyd Cotton.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Galone-Caruso Funeral Home Inc., Mt. Pleasant.  Military Honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post 446 of Mt. Pleasant at 4:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital, Tunnel to Towers Foundation, or the Alzheimer’s Association in loving memory of George R.
