Obituary of Robert A. Francis

Robert A. Francis, 82 of Mt. Pleasant died Tuesday March 4, 2025 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital.  Mr. Francis was born May 29, 1942 in Mt. Pleasant to the late Welby Allen and Lucille Bollinger Francis.

Robert was a graduate of Ramsay High School class of 1961.  He worked for Levin Furniture in Mt. Pleasant for many years.  Bob was a member of the Assunta Club in Mt. Pleasant.  He enjoyed walking around town, and cars, especially Cadillac’s and Miata’s. 

Bob is survived by his loving family, his sons, Robert J. Francis (Patty), and Scott Francis (Adrienne); his grandsons, Jack and Thomas Francis; his sisters, Shirley Janick, and Marilyn Sestock (Jim); and by his Partner, Ann Farrell.

In honoring Bob’s wishes there will be no public viewing or services.  A private entombment will be held in the Middle Presbyterian Mausoleum.  All arrangements have been entrusted to Galone-Caruso Funeral Home Inc., Mt.
