Obituary of Nancy Lee Ward

Nancy Lee Ward of Ruffs Dale, PA went home to be with the Lord on February 18, 2025. Born May 2, 1946, the daughter of the late Donald and Eva Spearing of Monaca , PA, Nancy was a retired nurse who enjoyed playing the piano, reading mystery novels, and writing beautiful poems.  Nancy also loved to worship the Lord in song and serve Him in every church in which her husband pastored.  She also enjoyed spoiling her three grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her sister Judith Spearing, March 22, 1997.

Nancy is survived by her adoring husband, Burl Ward, who stayed by her side for 58 years with unwavering love, a loving son Stephen Lee Ward and his wife Terri, her three grandchildren Stephen David Ward and fiancé Amber, Tanner Lee Ward and his wife Mary, and Robin Lee Ward, three great grandchildren Charlee Ann, Kayd David and Brooklyn Grace, her sister Debbie Bailey,  14 nieces and nephews, 35 great nieces and nephews, and 20 great-great nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until the hour of her Funeral Service at 5:00 p.m. at Belle Vernon Church of the Nazarene 108 Reed Ave Belle Vernon, PA.  Friends and family are invited to dinner at the church immediately following the service.  Interment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.  All arrangements have been entrusted to Galone-Caruso Funeral Home Inc., Mt.
