Obituary of Eileen F. Stefl

Eileen Faye Stefl, 74, of Greensburg, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Westmoreland Manor.  Ms. Stefl was born September 26, 1950, in Mt. Pleasant to the late Charles and Dora Trout Stefl.

Eileen was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant Area High School Class of 1968 and received her Bachelor’s Degree of Nursing from the University of Pittsburgh.  She worked at various hospitals, including Westmoreland Hospital, for over 40 years as a critical care nurse.  She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Greensburg and their Monday Morning Sewing Circle.  Eileen also was a member of the Striking Women's Bowling League and the New Neighbors of Greensburg where she learned how to play Mahjong.

Eileen is survived by her loving family: her brothers, Terry Stefl and Larry Stefl, both of Greensburg; her nephews, Adam Stefl (Deann) and Mark Stefl (Jackie); her great niece and nephews, Molly, Adam Jr., Bo, and Austin; and by her dear friend Karen Stefl.

Family and friends will be received at Galone-Caruso Funeral Home Inc., 204 Eagle Street, Mt. Pleasant on Monday, February 17th, from 2:00 to 4:00 & 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  The Angels of Westmoreland Honor Guard will conduct their service at 7:15 p.m. and the Funeral Service will follow at 7:30 p.m.   A private inurnment will be held in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to be made to the American Parkinsons Disease Association in loving memory of Eileen Stefl.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff at Westmoreland Manor for their wonderful care of Eileen in the recent months.
