Obituary of Barbara L Polanovsky

Barbara L. Polanovsky, 83, of Mt. Pleasant died Tuesday January 21, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.  Mrs. Polanovsky was born June 28, 1941 in Sutersville to the late Michael and Loretta Peters Rocco. 

Barbara was a member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church.  She was a graduate of Herminie High School class of 1959.  Mrs. Polanovsky worked with the family business at Hartman Maytag and later at Cabin Hill Maytag as the business manager for over 60 years.  Barbara was a woman of strong faith, who enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family.

Barbara is survived by her loving family, her husband of 41 years, John M. Polanovsky; her sons, Michael J. Hartman, and Mark A. Hartman (Jennifer); and by her brother, Larry Rocco (Shirley).  She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Frank Polanovsky; her sister-in-law, Philomena Polanovsky; nieces and nephews, Patrick, Kathleen, Elizabeth, and Michael Meehan, and Theresa, and John Toczek; and by numerous great-nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her daughter, Amanda J. Polanovsky in 1998.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of her Blessing Service at 10:30 a.m. at Galone-Caruso Funeral Home Inc., Mt.
