Obituary of Josephine Vikartosky

 Josephine B. (Kozar) Vikartosky , age 96 of Mount Pleasant PA, died Thursday (02/22/18) in the Amber House At Harmon House Mount Pleasant, PA. Mrs. Vikartosky was born February 22, 1922 in Donora, PA, the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Slaminko Kozar. Josephine was a member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary R.C. Church, and it's Altar Rosary Society. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was an avid reader and enjoyed Crocheting. She is survived by her loving family: her sons:Carl A. Vikartosky and his wife Anne of Mt. Pleasant, Dennis J. Vikartosky and his wife Susan of Norvelt. Her grandchildren: Lisa A. Dionisi and her husband Adam, James T. Vikartosky , and Daniel J. Vikartosky and his wife Brianna. In addition to her parents, Josephine was preceded in death by her husband: Victor J. Vikartosky in 1998; her brother Paul Kozar, and her sisters: Irene Kozar and Cecilia Rosendale. Family and friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held on Monday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by Josephine's 10:00 AM Funeral Mass in Visitation Of The Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko celebrant. Interment will be in the Visitation Parish Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant. Visitation Altar Rosary Society will recite the Rosary Sunday at 3:30 p.m. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Amber House and Amedysis Hospice and Dr. Aseffa for they care and kindness.
